An entrepreneurial professional engineer with extraordinary leadership skills, Eisenhauer cofounded the Atlantic Bridge Co, Ltd., and later the ABCO Group of Companies. He is also known for being a committed supporter of various research organizations and as an advocate for the South Shore of Nova Scotia.
